Throughout the war, these children aren't really feeling anything because they are being drugged, so they don't know what's going on. All they know is to kill. The types of drugs they're taking, are hard core drugs, and when they wake up, he's like, man what just happened? After the war they are free but not really free, because they don't know where their families are, they still have horrible thoughts of killing, and they don't know who they are anymore. Also, they just feel so alone after everything's over.

The older soldiers (grown ups) come and take the kids, all different ages to the battle feild anytime they need more soilders. They use these kids as sheilds. When they are fighting they have the kids in front of them so whoever is fighting them has to decide if they want to shoot at the little inasent children. They also are used to check for bombing sites. They go into the ditches and see if anything blows up. They are also used because they are too young to understand what they are doing.
